What mold remediation work involves
Most days involve setting up containment with plastic sheeting, running HEPA air scrubbers and dehumidifiers, cutting out damaged drywall and insulation, and cleaning surfaces carefully. The work is done in respirators, gloves and disposable suits, and following safety steps every time is a big part of the job.
It is physical work. You may kneel for long stretches, carry equipment, climb ladders and work in attics that get very hot in the South Florida summer. You also work inside people's homes, so care with their belongings and clear communication matter just as much as technical skill.
